Today, in the third part of the series, I am writing about the famous song- 'Keno bonchito hobo chorone'.
Keno bonchito hobo chorone
Ami koto aasha kore boshe
achhi
Paabo jibone na hoy morone.
Aha tai jodi nahi hobe go
Paatoki taaron torite
taapito
Aature tule na lobe go
Hoye pother dhulaaye ondho
Eshe dekhibo ki kheya bondho
Tobe paare boshe paar koro
bole paapi keno taake deeno shorone?
Ami shunechhi hey
trishahaari
Tumi ene daao taare prem
omrito trishito je chaahe baari
Tumi aapona hoite howo
aaponar
Jaar keho nai tumi achho tar
E ki shob michhe kotha
bhaabite je betha
Boro baaje Prabhu morome
In this song the poet portrays the Lord as the Saviour
of the sinners. He is the only hope for the persons who had trodden a wrong
path in their life. The Lord never refuses anyone so the poet expresses his
faith that he will also be saved by the Lord. And the lines
Tumi aapona hoite howo
aaponar
Jaar keho nai tumi achho tar
-are so famous! So true!! We are so forgetful about
this fact while living in the world of Maya, that's why the poet reminds us of
the fact that only the Almighty is our Dearest :)
I have listened to one version of the song by Juthika Roy and another by Krishna Chattopadhyay. Do check them out :)
Jai Shri Krishna.
