Man Mohana- Hindi Song from the Film Jodhaa Akbar

Dear Friends,

Here is the Lyrics of the song 'Man Mohana' from the film 'Jodhaa Akbar'. I'm listening to this song since last two months and LOVING it! Day Dreaming A great Creation by A R Rahman! So Sweet and Blissful!! Just got the lyrics while searching the net and thought to share with you all. Here is the Video from Youtube, but I guess the complete song was not there in the film Unhappy:

Man Mohana Man Mohana
Kanha Sunona Aaa
Tum Bin Paun Kaise Chain
Tarsu Tumhiko Din Rain

Chhodhke Apni Kaashi Mathura
Chhodhke Apni Kaashi Mathura
Aake Baso More Nain
Tum Bin Paun Kaise Chain
Kanhaaa
Tarsu Tumhiko Din Rain

Ek Pal Ujiyaara Aaye
Ek Pal Andhiyaara Chhaye
Mann Kyun Na Ghabraaye
Kaise Na Ghabraaye
Maan Jo Koi Do Raha
Apni Rahon Me Paaye
Kaun Disha Jaaye

Tum Bin Kaun Samjhaaye
Tum Bin Kaun Samjhaaye
Raas Rachaiyaa Brindavan Ke
Gokul Ke Baasi
Radha Tumri Daasi
Darshan Ko Hai Pyaasi
Shyam Salone Nand Lala Kishna Banwaari
Tumri Chhab Hai Nyari
Mai To Hoon Tan Mann Haari
Mai To Hoon Tan Mann Haari

Man Mohana Man Mohana
Man Mohana Man Mohana
Kanha Sunona Aaa
Tum Bin Paun Kaise Chain
Tarsu Tumhiko Din Rain

Jeevan Ek Nadiya Hai
Lehron Lehron Behti Jaaye
Isme Mann Ki Naiyaa
Doobe Kabhi Tar Jaaye

Tum Na Khewaiya Ho To
Koi Tat Kaise Paaye
Majdhaaren Dehelaayen
To Tumari Sharan Aaye
Haan Tumri Sharan Aaye

Mai Hoon Tumhari
Hai Tumhara Yeh Mera Jeevan
Tumko Hi Dekhun Mai
Dekhun Koi Darpan
Bansi Ban Jaungi
In Hothon Ki Ho Jaungi
In Sapno Se Jalthal
Hai Mera Mann Angan
Hai Mera Hmmm Hmmm.

Mere To Giridhar Gopal: Song from Hindi Movie- Meera

Tomorrow is Janmashtami. So I was thinking of some special song to post here on this pious occasion. This is one of the most Devotional Songs I have ever heard! It is from the Movie Meera by Gulzaar, here the role of Meera was played by Hema Malini. This song is sung by Vani Jairam, the music and the lyrics are So Pure... The original content of the song was taken from Meera's bhajan which are saturated with the Love for the Lord! I love to listen to this song again and again.

This is the Youtube Link of the Song:-

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4-3w54iLWq0

Here is the Lyrics of the Song ( Lyrics noted and translated by my Dear Brother Shivang and Dear Sister Rekha, I am so delighted to share it with all of you):-

Mere to Giridhar Gopal, dusaro na koi,
Mere to Giridhar Gopal, dusaro na koi,
Jaa ke sir mor mukut, mero pati soi,
Mere to Giridhar Gopal, dusaro na koi,
Mere to Giridhar Gopal.

(Translation: My Lord is Giridhar Gopal and none else. He wears the crown decorated with the feathers of a peacock)

Asuvan jal sinch sinch, prembel boi,
Ab to bel phail gayi, aanand phal hoi;
Mere to Giridhar Gopal, dusaro na koi.

(Translation: Meera says “I have been crying a lot (for all the pain I felt in your departure) and of those tears I irrigated the bel (prostrate plant) of love and now it’s flourishing and I am blissful because now it is giving me the fruit of joy.”)

Taat maat bhraat bandhu, aapano na koi;
Taat maat bhraat bandhu, aapano na koi;
Chhand gayi, kul ki aan, kaa kari hai koi
Mere to Giridhar Gopal, dusaro na koi.

(Translation: Taat, maat, bhrat, bandhu (all the relatives including parents, brothers and even friends), nobody is mine. Meera says that I renounced the reputation of family even and nobody can do anything to me that mean now 'only Krishna is my Saviour'.)

Chunari ke kiye tuk, odh leni loyi;
Chunari ke kiye tuk, odh leni loyi;
Moti monge utaare, banmaalaa poi;
Mere to Giridhar Gopal, dusaro na koi,

(Translation: 'tuk' means torn in pieces, 'loyi' means bhagwa vastra- orange clothes, 'moti monge' means pearls and precious gems.

Meera says that she tore her mantle (chunari) and put on the bhagwa clothes. She put off pearls and gems and wore banmala or garland made of tulsi and chandan wood.)

Mere to Giridhar Gopal, dusaro na koi,
Jaa ke sir mor mukut, mero pati soi,
Mere to Giridhar Gopal, dusaro na koi,
Mere to Giridhar Gopal.

(Translation: My Lord is Giridhar Gopal and none else. He wears the crown decorated with the feathers of a peacock.)

I have also included a picture of Hema Malini from the movie in this post. But sadly I could not find a picture of this particular song in the internet. Readers can watch the song from the given link to find out one of the Most Memorable Performances by Hema Malini in this Film.

IKTARA: Hindi Song from the film- Wake Up Sid

Since last 2-3 days I have been listening to these two songs (actually the male and female version of the single song- Iktara). The music, the lyrics and the singing – all are just Great!

Kavita Seth and Torchi Raina- both have sung So Well…. And I came to know from the information available in the Internet that Amit Trivedi has composed this particular song, and Javed Akhtar is the lyricist. I am not sure about the information, but just want to appreciate the whole team who are behind this song!

At first, the lyrics of the female version with the youtube link of the song:-

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m7YDpUy_AOs

O re manwa tu to bawra hai

Tu hi jaane tu kya sochta hai

Tu hi jaane tu kya sochta hai

Baware

Kyun dikhaye sapne tu sote jaagte

Jo barsein sapne boond boond

Nainon ko moond moond

Nainon ko moond moond

Jo barsein sapne boond boond

Nainon ko moond moond

Kaise mai chaloon

Dekh na sakoon

Anjaane raaste

Goonja sa aai koi iktara iktara

Goonja sa hai koi iktara

Goonja sa hai koi iktara iktara

Goonja sa hai koi iktara

Dheeme bole koi iktara iktara

Dheeme bole koi iktara

Goonja sa hai koi iktara iktara

Goonja sa hai koi iktara

Sun rahi hoon sudhbudh kho ke

Koi mai kahani

Puri kahani hai kya kise hai pata

Main to kisiki ho ke yeh bhi na jaani

Ruth hai yeh do pal ki ya rahegi sada

Kise hai pata

Kise hai pata

Kise hai pata

Jo barsein sapne boond boond

Nainon ko moond moond

Nainon ko moond moond

Jo barsein sapne boond boond

Nainon ko moond moond

Kaise mai chaloon

Dekh na sakoon

Anjaane raaste

Goonja sa aai koi iktara iktara

Goonja sa hai koi iktara

Goonja sa hai koi iktara iktara

Goonja sa hai koi iktara

Dheeme bole koi iktara iktara

Dheeme bole koi iktara

Goonja sa hai koi iktara iktara

Goonja sa hai koi iktara.

Now the lyrics and Youtube link of the male version:-

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otEfmvn2dyU&feature=related

Rooh ka banjara re parinda
Chhad
gaya dil ka re gharonda
Chhad
gaya dil ka re gharonda todke
Re gharonda todke,
gaya chhodke

Je naina karun band band
Beh jaye boond boond

Beh jaye boond boond

Je naina karun band band
Beh jaye boond boond
Tadpaye re, kyun sunaye geet malhar de

[
Bemalang tera iktara iktara

Bemalang tera iktara] (8)

Itra tun basi basi, padi hai sirhane
Band darwaja dekhe lauti hai subah
Thandi hai angeethi seeli, seeli hain deewarein
Goonje takrake inme dil ki sada
Goonje hai re
Goonje hai re

dil ki sada

dil ki sada

Jo naina karun band band
Beh jaye boond boond

Beh jaye boond boond

Jo naina karun band band
Beh jaye boond boond

Tadpaye re, kyun sunaye geet malhar de

[Bemalang tera iktara iktara

Bemalang tera iktara](16)

The main concept (that is ‘deep feeling of Love’ ) is conveyed so well by these words:-

(Female Version)

Jo Barsein Sapne Boond Boond

Nainon Ko Moond Moond

(Male version)

Je naina karun band band

Beh jaye boond boond

And the music in these lines just touches the heart:-

(Female Version)

Kaise Main Chaloon

Dekh Na Sakoon

Anjaane Raaste

(Male version)

Tadpaye re, kyun sunaye geet malhar de

Just wanted to share my favourite music with you all.

(Lyrics- taken from various websites).

With lots of Best Wishes.

Jai Shri Krishna
