‘Kitni khubsurat yeh tasveer hai ‘– A song describing the Beauty of Kashmir

Dear friends, today I have come with a song from the film ‘Bemisaal’ (1982), which portrays the scenic beauty of the ‘Heaven on Earth’- Kashmir. The lyrics say it all :) . And the sceneries perfectly capture the valley, the mountains, the snow laden peaks, the shikaara, the horse riding :), the tall trees, the beautiful flowers- all the specialities of Kashmir!!! The last scene of this song, where a long shot is taken to show us the scenic beauty of the place – the wide mountains range - is truly memorable!!!

Here are the lyrics -

Kitni khubsurat yeh tasveer hai
Mausam bemisaal benazir hai
Yeh Kashmir hai, yeh
Kashmir hai.

Parvaton ke daramiyaan hain
Jannaton ki tarmiyaan hain
Aaj ke din hum yahaan hain
Saathi ye hamaari takdeer hai

Kitni khubsurat yeh tasveer hai
Mausam bemisaal benazir hai

Is zameen se aasmaan se
Phulon ke is gulsitaan se
Jana mushkil hai yahan se
Tauba ye Hava hai ya janzeer hai

Kitni khubsurat yeh tasveer hai
Mausam bemisaal benazir hai

Enjoy the song!

‘Mann Kunto Maula’- A song from the film- 'Gunday’ (2014)

This is a song which tells us about Lord-Devotee love as well as love between two friends who are like brothers.

The two friends in the film- Vikram and Bala, are not two but one. Loyal, loving and caring for each other. This song shows the closeness they share.

Lord-Devotee relation is also portrayed with so nice words in the beginning of this song…. That a person who is aware of his guilt is sure about the blessing of the Lord, so he has come to ask for forgiveness. And then the song tells about the relation, how they are inseparable. Two friends as well as Devotee-Lord, both :)

Here are the lyrics-

Aa... aa... a aa... aa...
Maula.. Ali.. Ali Maula..

Gunaah mere bade hain
Hai tera dil bhi bada
Gunaah mere bade hain
Hai tera dil bhi bada
Yaqeen hai maaf karega
Tabhi hoon dar pe khada

Mann Kunto Maula.. Maula Ali Ali..
Mann Kunto Maula..
Maula Ali Ali.. Maula Ali Ali..
Mann Kunto Maula..
Ali.. Maula.. Maula..

Tera dar hai, mera sar hai
Tera dar hai, mera sar hai

Tu mera mushkil kusha
Tu mera Ali Wali..
Tu mera mushkil kusha
Tu mera Ali Wali...

Mann Kunto Maula..
Fa haaza Ali-Un Maula
Mann kunto maula..
Fa haaza Ali-Un Maula

Tere baghair jo guzre woh zindagi kya hai
Tu agar saath ho mujhko to phir kami kya hai

Aana... dere na re na na.. More nena..

Tere baghair jo guzre woh zindagi kya hai
Tu agar saath ho mujhko to phir kami kya hai

Raah mushkil mein bhi main hadd se guzar jaaunga
Tu agar sath na ho to main kidhar jaaunga

Mann Kunto Maula..
Fa haaza Ali-Un Maula
Mann Kunto maula..
Fa haaza Ali-Un Maula

Mann Kunto Ali Maula..
Mann Kunto Ali Maula..
Mann Kunto Ali Maula..
Fa haaza Ali-Un Maula Maula
Mann Kunto Ali maula..
Ali Maula Maula.. Ali Maula..

Mann Kunto Ali Maula.....

Man Kunto Maula.. Meaning:

Man kunto maula
fa haaza Ali-un maula

To whom I am the master
Ali is the master.

OR
Whoever accepts me as master
Ali is his master too

‘Kinaare’- A Motivational song from the Film- ‘Queen’ (2014)

Dear friends,

Today I am posting a motivational song from a recent movie-Queen’. The song very nicely expresses the mental state of the main protagonist, whose marriage was cancelled suddenly, she was heartbroken. So she went to visit the same places which she decided to visit during her honeymoon. She tries to regain her strength and actually does so during her journey throughout the film. This song tells us about motivating ourselves with our Inner Self.

Here are the lyrics-

Dhunde har ek saans mein
Dubkiyon ke baagh mein
Har bhanwaar ke paas kinare

Beh rahe jo saath mein
Jo hamare khaas the
Kar gaye, apni baat kinare

Gar maanjhi saath mein gair ho bhi jaaye
Toh khud hi tu pathwaar ban
Paar hoge hum

Jo choti si har ek nahar saagar ban bhi jaaye
Koi tinka leke haath mein dhund hi lenge hum
Kinare..
Kinare..
Kinare..
Khud hi toh hai hum
Kinare..
Kaise honge kam
Kinare..
Hain jahaan hai hum
Kinare..
Khud hi toh hai hum
Haan.. khud hi toh hai hum

Auron se kya
Khud hi se, poonch lenge raahein

Yahin kahin, maujon mein hi, dhund lenge hum
Boondon se hi, toh hain wahin, baandh lenge leherein
Pairon tale jo bhi mile, baandh lenge hum
Kinare..
Kinare..
Kinare..

Khud hi to hai hum
Kinaare..
Kaise honge kam
Kinare..
Hain jahaan hai hum
Kinare..
Khud hi to hai hum
Haan.. khud hi to hai hum

‘Na main dhan chahun’- A Devotional Song from the film- 'Kala Bazar' (1960)

‘Na main dhan chahun’  from the film- 'Kala Bazaar’(1960) is one of my vary favorrite song due to its Purity. The way it tells us about the realities of the outer world, about the urge to go back to the Origin. Everything about the song is So Sincere!!! I respect the song from the core of my heart!

The last stanza with its open ending,- ‘ab kidhar jaun’ leaves the impression of the journey which is still continuing…..The repetition of those words keep echoing themselves in our ear even after the song is completed.

Wonderful music, lyrics and beautifully sung by Geeta Dutt and Sudha Malhotra.

Here are the Lyrics-

Na Main Dhan Chahun, Na Ratan Chahun
Na Main Dhan Chahun, Na Ratan Chahun
Tere Charnon Ki Dhul Mil Jaaye
Tere Charnon Ki Dhul Mil Jaaye
To Main Tar Jaun, Shyam Main Tar Jaun
He Raam Tar Jaun...

Moh Mann Mohe, Lobh Lalchaaye
Moh Mann Mohe, Lobh Lalchaaye
Kaise Kaise Ye Naag Leheraaye
Kaise Kaise Ye Naag Leheraaye

Isse Pehle Ki Dil Udhar Jaaye
Main To Mar Jaun, Kyun Na Mar Jaun

Na Main Dhan Chahun, Na Ratan Chahun…

Laaye Kya The Jo Leke Jana Hai
Laaye Kya The Jo Leke Jana Hai
Nek Dil Hi Tera Khazaana Hai
Nek Dil Hi Tera Khazaana Hai

Saanjh Hote Hi Panchhi Aa Jaaye
Ab To Ghar Jaun Apni Ghar Jaun

Tere Charnon Ki Dhul Mil Jaaye
To Main Tar Jaun, Shyam Main Tar Jaun
He Raam Tar Jaun...

Tham Gaya Paani, Jam Gayi Kaayi
Tham Gaya Paani, Jam Gayi Kaayi
Behti Nadiya Hi Saaf Kehlaayi
Behti Nadiya Hi Saaf Kehlaayi

Mere Dil Ne Hi Jaal Phailaaye
Ab Kidhar Jaun, Main Kidhar Jaun
Ab Kidhar Jaun, Main Kidhar Jaun
Ab Kidhar Jaun, Main Kidhar Jaun
Ab Kidhar Jaun, Main Kidhar Jaun
Ab Kidhar Jaun, Main Kidhar Jaun
Ab Kidhar Jaun, Main Kidhar Jaun….

'Bole Radha Shaym Diwani’- A Radha Krishna song from the film ‘Tumhare Liye’ (1978)

Dear Friends, Today I am posting the lyrics of a sweet song from the Movie Tumhare Liye (1978). It tells us about the emotions of Radha, how she feels about Krishna , about Love, the way she tries to  describe their relation.

I really Love the way ‘Govindam’ is repeated many times in the song, creating the effect of echo, along with ‘bhaj mere mana’. Actually this is the part which makes this song so very dear to me : ).

Bole Radhe Shyam diwaani
Ho, bole Radha Shyam diwani, pi ka mukhda bhor suhani
Preet bina hai jeevan aise
Preet bina hai jeevan aise, jaise nadiyaa ho bin paani

Govindam Govindam, Govindam, Bhaj mere mana,
Govindam Govindam, Govindam Govindam
Mere mana, mere mana, mere mana.

Mann ka naataa, mann ka bandhan, kitna pyaara kitna paavan
Mann ka naataa, mann ka bandhan, kitna pyaara kitna paavan
Kayi yugon se janam janam se, mai Mohan ki mera Mohan

Govindam Govindam, Govindam, Bhaj mere mana,
Govindam Govindam, Govindam Govindam.

Naino me hai chhav matwaari
Naino me hai chhav matwari, dhun murli ki laage pyaari
Jabse aayi pi charno me
Jabse aayi pi charno me, maine tyaagi dunia saari

Govindam Govindam, Govindam, Bhaj mere mana,
Govindam Govindam, Govindam Govindam.
Govindam Govindam, Govindam Govindam
Govindam Govindam, Govindam Govindam
Govindam Govindam, Govindam Govindam
Mere mana, mere mana, mere mana.
Govindam Govindam, Govindam Govindam
Mere mana, mere mana.

'Pronaam tomaay Ghonoshyam'- a Devotional Song from the Bengali Film- 'Mejdidi' (1951)

Dear friends, this is a memorable bengali song from the film- 'Mejdidi' (1951). Devotion is the real essence of the song!!! The way Kaanan Devi sings it, truly justifies the lyrics, the composition and the heartfelt prayer which is uttered by the main protagonist.

I am posting the lyrics here, will try to translate it when I get time.

I love this song for its Purity and its Sincere Approach.

Here are the lyrics-

Pronaam tomaay Ghonoshyam

Khone khone ghotaaye je bhul chokkhe modero aaboron
Shei aaboron ghuchao Hori, daraao jugal murti dhori

'Tu Na Jaane Aas Paas Hai Khuda’- a Spiritual song from the Hindi film - ‘Anjaana Anjaani’

This is a such a good song from the film- 'Anjaana Anjaani’ (2010), in which as if God Himself is telling the characters to have Faith, as He is ALWAYS near all of us

The lyrics are very clear to convey the message of the Lord, I am posting the lyrics here.

I have used Bold in the lines which are my favourite :) :)

 Dhundhla jaaye jo manzile
Ek pal ko tu nazar jhuka
 Jhuk jaaye sar jahan wahi
 Milta hai rab ka raasta
 Teri kismat tu badal de
 Rakh himmat bus chal de
Tere saath hi mere kadmo ke hai nishaan

Tu na jaane aas pass hai khuda
Tu na jaane aas pass hai khuda

 Khud pe daal tu nazar
 Halaato se haar kar
 Kahan chalaa re
 Haath ki lakeer ko
 Modhta marodhta hai hosla re
To khud tere khwabo ke rang me
Tu apne jahan ko bhi rang de
Ke chalta hu mai tere sang me
 Ho sham bhi to kya
 Jab hoga andhera
 Tab paayega dar mera
Us dar pe phir hogi teri subah

Tu na jaane aas pass hai khuda ...

 Mit jate hai
 Sabke nishan
Bas ek woh mit ta nahi hai
Maan le jo har mushkil ko
 Marzi meri
Ho humsafar na tera jab koi
Tu ho jahan rahunga main wahi
Tujh se kabhi na ek pal bhi main juda

Tu na jane aas pass hai khuda ...

'Kandho se milte hain kandhe'- A Motivational song from the Hindi Film 'Lakshya' (2004)

Dear Friends, today I am sharing a motivational song from the movie- Lakshya (2004)

It tells us about the Brotherhood of the soldiers, the Ideals they worship and the way they are Devoted to fulfill their aim of life.

Here are the lyrics (got it from internet, thanks to the contributor :)  )

Kandho se milte hain kandhe, kadmon se kadam milte hain
Ham chalte hain jab aise to dil dushman ke hilte hain

Ab to hame aage badte hai rehna
Ab toh hame saathi hai bas itna he kehna

Ab jo bhi ho shola banke patthar hai pighlaana
Ab jo bhi ho baadal banke parbat par hai chhaana

Nikle hain maidan me hum jaan hatheli par le kar
Ab dekho dum lenge ham jaake apni manzil par

Khataro se haske khelna, itni to hum me himmat hai
Mode kalaai maut ki, itni to hum me taakat hai
Hum sarhado ke waaste lohe ki ek diwaar hai
Hum dushmano ke waaste hoshiyaar hai taiyaar hai

Ab jo bhi ho shola banke patthar hai pighlaana
Ab jo bhi ho baadal banke parbat par hai chhaana
Kandho se milte hain kandhe, kadmon se kadam milte hain
Ham chalte hain jab aise to dil dushman ke hilte hain

Josh dil me jagaate chalo, jeet ke geet gaate chalo
Jeet ki jo tasveer banaane hum nikle hain apni lahu se
Hamko us me rang bharna hai
Saathi maine apne dil me ab yeh thaan liya hai
Ya to ab karna hai, ya toh ab marna hai
Chahe angaare barse ke bijli gire, tu akela nahi hoga yaara mere
Koi mushkil ho ya ho koi ho morcha
Saath har mod par honge saathi tere

Ab jo bhi ho shola banke patthar hai pighlaana
Ab jo bhi ho baadal banke parbat par hai chhaana
Kandho se milte hain kandhe, kadmon se kadam milte hain
Ham chalte hain jab aise to dil dushman ke hilte hain

Ek chehra aksar mujhe yaad aata hai
Is dil ko chup ke chup ke woh tadpaata hai
Jab ghar se koi bhi khat aaya hai
Kagaaz ko maine bheega bheega paaya hai
Palko palko pe yaadon ke kuchh deep jaise jalte hain
Kuchh sapne aise hain, jo saath saath chalte hain
Koi sapna na toote koi waada na toote
Tum chaho jisse dil se woh tumse na ruthhe

Ab jo bhi ho shola banke patthar hai pighlaana
Ab jo bhi ho baadal banke parbat par hai chhaana
Kandho se milte hain kandhe, kadmon se kadam milte hain
Ham chalte hain jab aise to dil dushman ke hilte hain

Chalta hai jo yeh karvan, gunji see hai yeh waadiyan
Hai yeh zameen yeh aasmaan, hai yeh hawaa hai yeh samaa
Har raste ne, har waadi ne, har parbat ne sada di
Hum jeetenge hum jeetenge hum jeetenge har baazi

Kandho se milte hain kandhe, kadmon se kadam milte hain
Ham chalte hain jab aise to dil dushman ke hilte hain

Chalta hai jo yeh karvan, gunji see hai yeh waadiyan...

- This is such a beautiful song!

I have used bold in the lines which I really Love :) :)

"Har raste ne, har waadi ne, har parbat ne sada di
Hum jeetenge hum jeetenge hum jeetenge har baazi " - From these lines 'Hum Jeetenge' keeps on repeating itself in my ears ... It shows the Determination of the soldiers, the Positivity present in them!!! Which can work wonders!!!!!

And these line- " Ab jo bhi ho shola banke patthar hai pighlaana
Ab jo bhi ho baadal banke parbat par hai chhaana"- Here we find the Dedication towards serving the nation!!! As if they are Devoting their whole life to this cause!! This action which makes them so so Respectable to us!!!

We need to immerse ourselves completely in the song to FEEL the Spirit of sacrifice and love for the nation in it :) :)

Vande Maataram!
