The Vaccine War is a film directed by Vivek Agnihotri. It tells the story of the research and invention of Covid Vaccine by India (Bharat). The film is based on a book written by Dr Balram Bhargav. Perhaps that is the reason that this film portrays so much detailed process of laboratory experiments. Thus making the audience aware of the contribution by the scientists of ICMR and NIV towards the great cause. How these two organisations cooperated and ultimately succeeded in discovering the vaccine. The film describes the critical situation faced by the country, the pressure with which the scientists worked all day and night, the sacrifices made by them in order to do the experiments. We as general public were ignorant of many of these happenings as the contribution of scientists were not mentioned in the mainstream media that much. Nana Patekar as the director of ICMR Dr Balram Bhargav and Pallavi Joshi as the head of NIV Dr Priya Abraham has done wonderful work. Along with them, Girija Oak, Saptami Gowda, Raima Sen, Anupam Kher, Nivedita Bhattacharya and other character artists have done great work. The direction is good and keeps the audience very much engrossed in the happenings of the film. The contribution of the female scientists are shown in many places of the film. The way they balanced their professional work along with household duties generate respect in the minds of the audience for these dedicated souls. We can witness true representation of woman empowerment through these characters. This film is a must watch for all the citizens of the country.
With lots of best wishes
Jai Shree Krishna.
