Blue Beetle- English Film (2023)

Blue Beetle film is based on DC comic characters. The main storyline revolves around a scientific innovation of Blue Beetle machine which will make a normal human being capable of super human powers.

Victoria, the owner of a defence technology company, wants to capture the machine as well as the power of Blue Beetle and use it for their profit. By a coincidence, Jenny, the niece of Victoria, gets hold of the machine. Through Jenny, the scarab reaches a young boy Jaime, who gets the power of the machine by sudden interaction with it. Thus starts the main story of the film; how both of them team up and save the machine from the evil clutches of the current director of the company, is shown in the film.

The story goes in expected way, there is no surprise element in it. The young hero, his careless and inconfident approach in the beginning, later becoming responsible and matured- we have watched such storyline in numerous films.

The hero Jaime lives in a joint family with many members, all of them have their own unique characteristics. They all make a happy family in spite of their differences. This quality of Jaime's family is appreciated by the heroine Jenny.

In the end Jaime defeats the main villain Victoria and the machine bot Carapac, who was helping Victoria.

Overall, the film is targeted for young audience, who may not have watched other films based on such comic characters. For matured audiences, there is nothing much to watch. It is only an action film with futuristic machines and special effects.

With lots of best wishes.

The Martian (2015)

The Martian is a Hollywood movie directed by Ridley Scott, released in 2015. It tells us the story of a Mars Mission where an astronaut Mark Watney is left by mistake as their shuttle suddenly heads towards their next destination following a storm in Mars, assuming Mark to be dead in that incident.

The film shows us the various ways by which the lone survivor passes his days, how he makes arrangements for his daily life, how he starts a video log to communicate with earth, to tell them that he is alive and later to tell them about his daily life, how he repairs an old machine (i.e.- the robotic spacecraft- Pathfinder) to communicate with Earth. After a few days, people from Earth and the space shuttle which left him by mistake try to save him. Then we see how in spite of facing many difficulties, he travels to the place from where the shuttle would come to pick him up. Watney has shown tremendous courage, strength of mind and indomitable spirit in dealing with the day to day problems. It gives us the motivation how to lead a life in a complete adverse situation, with constant struggle going on, we do not see him getting depressed ever; for any problem, everytime he comes up with a solution. Truly inspirational!!! Living alone in a planet for 560 Solar Days of Mars!

The scene where all the potatoes grown by Mark as well as the farm gets burnt down was so miserable! Still Mark survives that and carries on.

The original novel by the same name, written by Andy Weir, itself was successful and Ridley Scott's direction does justice to it. The whole film mainly rests on Matt Damon, who is one of my favourite actors :). There are many more famous actors like Jessica Chastain, Sean Bean, Jeef Daniels- all have done wonderful work.

I also loved the red coloured Nature of Mars as shown in the film, it is another main reason for me to like the film. In Wikipedia, we can see the shooting has been done in Wadi Rum in Jordan. It is an experience to watch it on big screen!

THE TRANSPORTER --English Film

Yesterday , I watched this film , I think for the 3rd time ….

From the very 1st time , I liked this film a lot . Why ? the main reason is the action scenes and the hero — JASON STATHAM . action sequences are shot in such a nice way that I (a person , who generally doesn’t like to see unnecessary violence ) loved them .The camera work , the choreography of the action scenes -- all are perfect .
JASON STATHAM is a very very handsome person . Yes , I like to watch him on screen . Previously I have also wrote about him in the review of ROUGE ASSASSIN . Here also it is his smartness , his physique which have been used extensively .
The story is good . I liked the very few and short romantic (if we can call them so !!!) scenes also .
Overall it is a nice movie , good for timepass .

With best wishes

ROMEO MUST DIE , ROUGE ASSASSIN (WAR ) ; English films

I am a great fan of JET LI . So whenever i get a chance to watch his movies i really enjoy them .

Actually , i love the movies based on martial arts . Jet li is a master in this genre . The fight sequences in both these movies were amazing .

Another thing to note is that both films have a nice twist / climax at the end . Mainly these are the reasons why i am discussing them together .

The last reason is that i have watched both these films last week only - so they are really fresh in my memory .

ROMEO MUST DIE - is a story of revenge , love , and underworld gang-wars . i loved the way jet li searched for the killer of his brother , the way he shared on-screen chemistry with aliyah , and the way he talked with his father in the end . The story is nice (slightly complex also ) but doesn't truly resemble shakespeare 's romeo and juliet , at least according to me . But anyway , i loved this film .

ROUGE ASSASSIN (WAR ) - is a story about friendship of two policemen in the backdrop of gang-war . The story has a real twist a the end and i loved it . In fact i love JASON STATHAM also (because of his TRANSPORTER series ) . In this film i got a chance to see my two favourite artists together , which was real fun . Their friendship , their search for true identity of each other - everything has been dealt nicely in the movie . This movie has been released in two different names ( for different countries ) , so i have included both names in my post .

I would love to hear your experiences about these movies .

By the way - i also love MICHELLE YEOH in martial arts movies also . I will discuss about her films in future .

With best wishes
