This is a very nice film directed by Pavel. It tells us the story of how Rosogolla (the famous sweet item) was invented by young Nabin Chandra Sen.
This film tries to capture the life and struggles of Nabin Chandra Sen. We connect with the character from the very beginning of the film. He always had the spirit of a creative person inside him. So in spite of facing various challenging situations in life, he kept on polishing his craft.
The story includes Nabin's relationship with his wife, played by Avantika Biswas. This husband wife relation i portrayed as very spontaneous and pure. Their emotions, their fights and their support for each other, every scene between them captures our heart. The moment of success when the first rosogolla was made, seemed like a success for the audience also. Here lies the skill of the director who is able to associate the minds of the audience with that of the main protagonist.
The role of played by Kharaj Mukherjee needs a special mention because of the effortlessness with which he played the role of a steady support system of Nabin. Rajatabha Dutta, Shantilal Mukherjee, Bidipta Chakraborty, all played their parts beautifully and contributed to the film through their characters.
The song 'Kajal bhamara' is beautiful and stays with us even after watching the film.
Overall this is a feel good film which makes our heart melt like sweet Rosogolla and moves us to the ecstacy of creating something new.
